About the house

We build companies the way good cloth is made: closely, carefully and to last.

What we are.

Velcro Ventures (OPC) Private Limited is a holding company based in Jaipur, India. We build our ventures ourselves, own them, and run them for the long run. Greater Than Services and Astitva are the first two. We start each one where something important is broken, give it its own name and character, and hold them all to one standard.

How we choose

Four questions before we begin.

  1. Is the need real today?

    We start from a problem people already have, not one we hope they will have.

  2. Has the world just changed around it?

    We look for needs that a shift in how people live, work or find things has made newly solvable.

  3. Can we build it well, ourselves?

    We build the first version in house, so we understand every part of what we offer.

  4. Can it earn fairly?

    A venture must be able to pay its own way by charging fairly for something people value.

How a venture grows

From first thread to finished cloth.

  1. Build.

    The house designs and builds the first version itself, end to end.

  2. Test.

    We test every part of it before we call it ready. Astitva is here now.

  3. Launch.

    It opens to the public under its own name, and keeps improving in the open. Greater Than Services is here now.

  4. Grow.

    With its own team and, where it helps, investors and partners beside it, the venture grows while the house keeps the standard.

How we build

Four rules we keep.

  1. Plain words.

    We say what a thing does, in words anyone can check. If a sentence needs a footnote to be true, we rewrite the sentence.

  2. Honest numbers.

    We publish only figures we can stand behind, and we say where they come from.

  3. Patience.

    We build for decades, not quarters. We would rather grow slowly and well.

  4. Care.

    For the people our ventures serve, first and always. Every decision starts with them.

Founder and Director

Shantanu founded Velcro Ventures in 2026, leads both of its ventures from Jaipur, runs product, design and engineering across the house, and is the first person investors and partners speak with.
